Phillip B.
McKinney served as the Director of Prison Ministries
for men in the Baltimore City Jail under the direction
of the Teen Challenge Ministry for over fifteen years.
For sixteen years, he was the teacher in the adult
Sunday School class in his home church, Faith Outreach
Chapel. Along with being an instructor in the Faith
Outreach Bible Training Center and Graduate School,
Bro. McKinney was also the Assistant Pastor and Vice
President of Faith Outreach Chapel.
In his own
words, Bro. McKinney said, "A giant oak springs
from a small acorn, but bend it when it is young,
and it will grow into an old, crooked tree. Now in
order to be perfect, you should take the WHOLE Word
of God and study it; go over it; not just read it,
but study it over and over. In the WHOLE Word of God,
there is great inspiration. Correct doctrine is like
a perfect map--you always know when you have taken
the wrong road."
II Timonthy
3:16-17 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration
of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished
unto all good works."
